Whew! That was a long one but SO worth it.
This morning I was feeling stiff from HIIT 1 and was wishing I could have worked from my bed instead of going in to work. Alas I had to head in and sit all day. Anytime I got up I thought I was going to die. OK so I am exaggerating =)
I was nervous to push play again. Obviously I'm overweight and while I really, really, REALLY want to follow the program, I was concerned I might hurt myself. {awesome run on sentence!}
I decided that after watching Keeping up with the Kardashians I needed to purge my soul. I popped in Les Mills Combat 45 Power Kata and decided I'd at least give it a try. Trying is better than nothing... riiiiiight?!
Turns out I LOVED it and it might honestly be my favorite. It's like Combat 30 Kick Start but {obviously} longer. I loved Kick Start because I was able to keep up with the movements and I understood what they were doing. My body felt great after it. With 45 there were extra reps and a few new moves. I'm still not that great at kicking behind me, but I tried and I KNOW I will get better {because I'm not stopping}.
Overall it was a great cardio workout, If you keep your abs tight it's great for that as well. I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow, but tomorrow is {rest day} WOO HOO.
Also, side note... My legs are NOT killing me right now. I think the key is when you push yourself and you know you're sore you can still workout. It's about warming up the muscles and stretching them {this set of stretches was really relaxing}. It helps the muscles recover and you can sleep better at night knowing you can walk in the morning!
