Woopsies! I forgot to post my results! Life has been crazy busy getting ready for school and spending time at work. My final result was 24 pounds lost. I didn't go in to do my Cholesterol check again because I didn't feel like paying another $100 to do so. Personally, feeling great was all the reassurance that I needed to know it worked. In the time after the reset I have gained a few pounds back, but my clothes seem to keep getting looser... not sure how that works? Building muscle maybe?
I haven't worked out intensely but I have done a bit of kettlebell work while watching tv and gone for walks with my dog. She seems to like that. The last time she and I tried to go for a walk I got maybe 10 blocks and I felt tired and turned around to go home. I'm not sure the total distance, but we now walk down past the middle school near my house and loop back around. Lots of people take this route for a jog. By the end of the walk Lily was pooped! She was more tired than I was =)
Like I said, feeling great, had wonderful results and learned a lot of good lessons!

Ultimate Reset: Day 19
Today is day 19 of my Reset. I'm feeling really good. My portion sizes are still small as I'm not very hungry. I'm drinking a lot of water to help flush out my system. I started my third week at 238.6, I'm now at 233.6.
When I started the Ultimate Reset my goal was to get down to 235, once that seemed to be attainable I changed my goal to drop a total of 30 pounds. That's a pretty aggressive goal when you aren't working out, but at the same time, I have a LOT to lose to begin with. Right now I'm down a total of 22.8 pounds. I have 3 days left. I'm counting today because it just started. I don't think I'll lose 7.2 pounds in the next three days, but the Reset has really surprised me so who knows, right?
I'm pretty excited for how far things have come. I've got two pair of jeans left that fit, and of those pairs, only one really fits me. A lot of the shirts and tops I bought that used to be tight or didn't fit at all now fit. Luckily I saved a lot of my slacks (Yes B Wong I just said slacks...again) from when I worked in logistics so I have clothing to wear to work haha. I've got a lot of workout gear that I can wear at home.
I think what the reset has helped me with the most has been portion size and eating on a schedule and only when I'm hungry. I was always pretty good about water consumption and trying to eat healthy. Also the reset really helped me get back on track. I had been at 255 for so long I thought I could never change. I invested in myself and it paid off. I'm excited to get back to working out and see how quickly I can drop some more weight.
My ultimate goal is to find a weight that makes me happy, where I feel great. I don't want to force my body to be smaller than it should. When I started my awesome little journey on teambeachbody.com I was 263.3 pounds. I set a goal of 135 pounds and to date I've reached 23% of my goal. Realistically, I really started at 290 or so, which means I've reached 36% of my goal. It's amazing to see how far you've come with a little hard work and dedication!

Ultimate Reset: Day 13
Today is day 13 of my Ultimate Reset. Lately I haven't been feeling all that hungry, so even though all my meals are portioned out I haven't been eating the full portion. I've lost 5.4 pounds so far this week, not as good as the first week but it's to be expected. I'm glad I hadn't invested in too many jeans that were in larger sizes because now they are all too big. I'll spend my weekend cleaning out my closet so there is no option to go back to the bigger sizes.

Ultimate Reset: Day 11
Today is Day 11 of my Ultimate Reset. I am down to 241.2, a total of 15.2 pounds which is pretty amazing. I'm still eating 3 meals a day. My cravings for sweets are gone. I was having a lot of difficulty with that over the weekend, it was literally driving me crazy. Now they don't really cross my mind.
I'm now wearing a size 18 in dress pants, which is pretty amazing! I haven't been able to wear this particular pair for 3 YEARS! I'm hoping to see about the same amount of weight loss through the end of the reset, so another 15 pounds. If I don't reach that, no big deal but I really won't complain if I do. Another 15 pounds is kinda far out there considering the time frame, but based on the total amount I need to lose it's not completely unrealistic.
One great thing about doing this reset is that it's given me new motivation and gotten me past a plateau I had been at for almost a year. Now that I'm getting to a weight where I was more active I am SO ridiculously excited for the reset to be OVER so I can start working out again! It's nice to have that kick start to your goals.
I have 10 more days left of the reset which seems like a long time but i KNOW it will fly by. I've gotten in a routine with when I take my supplements and when I eat that works pretty well. Once I'm no longer on the reset I'll probably stick to this. I also started measuring everything I eat and writing everything down. I'm not sure I'll still write everything down but I will be measuring everything. Actually I probably write everything down. It keeps me accountable vs letting me eat whatever I want.
Oddly enough, I feel better about having the ability to reach my goals today than I did two years ago. I am so happy that things are finally changing for the better, all it takes is a little effort and guidance.

Ultimate Reset: Day 7
Today is Day 7 of my BeachBody Ultimate Reset. I've lost 11.6 pounds so far. YAY me! I'm still craving sweets. Not as badly as before but now I'm just annoyed I can't have them. seriously. Tomorrow I start phase two of the reset, release. I've phased out meat and I'd say all dairy products now. It'll be interesting to see how this next week treats me.
I keep telling myself, just two more weeks. It's been very hard on me to not be able to eat foods I truly enjoy. I really want a steak salad. Or any steak for that matter. One of the best things that has helped me stay on track is writing everything down. Every single piece of food I eat. When I remind myself that if I do have that cookie, I have to write it down. I draw attention to my ridiculous want of the cookie, vs just eating it and wanting another one.
I've also picked up some good meals, but I definitely will be bringing meat back to my life. I miss chicken, steak and turkey!
Overall I think this has been a wonderful experience. I'm getting past a plateau and I'm hoping to lose another 9.8 pounds to make it to 235. If my body keeps up this rate, I might even get lower than that. I'd be surprised to hit 235 but wouldn't complain if this reset helped me hit 220 or 225.

Well Hi There
Long time no talk eh? Lots has been shaking in my life. Seems like just yesterday it was the beginning of a new year. Well I suppose it seems that way because I haven't posted in forever!
So as a recap, I've been stuck at 255ish for about 10 months. I wasn't gaining, but I certainly haven't been losing. I struggled during school, especially since I was still working full time. I still managed to get straight A's and keep my sanity AND not gain any weight.
I was recently promoted (yay me!) so I'm much happier on the job front. And Beachbody recently came out with the Ultimate Reset. What I've found is with being as busy as I am I couldn't get into a groove for working out and eating right. As much as I wanted to, it just wouldn't stick. I waited to start the reset because I wanted to see others' results first (doesn't everyone?). I was pleasantly surprised to hear that people didn't feel like they were starving and that they were seeing internal and external results!
I finally took the leap at the end of July by ordering my Ultimate Reset Kit. I was so excited and at the same time I felt slightly overwhelmed. I have failed at many "diets" before and had just invested a lot into myself. Was I going to be able to stick to it? Would I see results?
Monday July 30th was my first day. I took all of the supplements as scheduled (and have every single day since). I don't like all of the food they have on the menu, but I am sticking to only foods they have in the meal plan. Basically, I found the foods I know I enjoy within week one, and re-arranged the meal plan to work for me. I'll likely do the same thing within week two and week three. I do this for two reasons. One, I'm on a budget, and two I know that some foods I don't like the texture of. I'm also being very careful about the portion sizes
On the first day I started noticing I was getting a slight headache. I've read that it's caused by the Oxygenize supplement. It wasn't too terrible and eventually went away on it's own. By the end of the day I was feeling really cold as well. It's 80 degrees outside, maybe even 90. Even the AC at work doesn't make me feel that cold, but i was freezing. This was helpful on the way home since my AC doesn't work in my car!
I have definitely still had cravings for sweet stuff. Brownies, cookies, cake, or just about anything else. This is not helped by pinterest and all the amazing looking things people keep pining!
Technically when I weighed in before my blood pressure and cholesterol check I was 254.4. Monday morning I had weighed myself in at 256.4.
With the supplements I'm drinking about 80 oz of water a day, following the schedule and getting plenty of rest. My body aches when I haven't worked out, this is normal as well.
By the start of Day 3 I wasn't having headaches and I wasn't getting as cold. I weighed in at 249.6

I could not believe it. It felt like nothing had changed!
Currently I'm on Day 4. I weighed in at 248.4. I feel great, I'm never hungry, no headaches, not cold, body is still a little achy. I KNOW i can do this! It's a 21 day program and it's teaching me a lot about what I should eat and how much of it I should eat, but honestly I can't wait to celebrate with a bite of brownie!
